Treasury Tour
In the treasury of the Liechtenstein Castle there is displayed a handcrafted replica of the Princely Crown of Prince Karl von Liechtenstein (1569-1627) among other exhibition pieces.
The original Princely Crown was made by Master Daniel de Briers and consisted of gold, 26 pearls, 30 big and 99 small diamonds and 16 rubies.
Between the years 1772 and 1781 the traces of the Princely Crown got lost.
When Prince Franz Josef I. died in 1781, the Princely Crown didn´t exist anymore. 1978, in the year of the 40th anniversary of Prince Franz Josef II.s regime, the Country Liechtenstein donated him a replica of the Princely Crown. Nowadays the Princely Crown is in the Princely Collection, Vaduz-Vienna and you can admire this preciosity in the State-museum of Liechtenstein in Vaduz.
